How to send one-click registration links to my existing email list?

The "one-click registration" flow is very simple: you send out contest invite links to your email list. When they click on the link, Maître will automatically add them to the campaign and open the social sharing page. This will eliminate the need for them to go to the signup page and send them directly onto sharing the contest with their circles.

Important: people who click on the link will sign up without the need to verify their email address.

In order to do this you need to:

  • enable this feature from your dashboard
  • send out contest invite links to your mailing list

Enable one-click registrations

If you want to enable this feature for your campaign, simply go to "Settings > Advanced settings" and switch on the toggle as shown below:

Send out one-click links to your existing users

Now that you have enabled this feature, your widget is automatically ready. You only need to drive people to your contest page using the right link. The link you use to send people to your contest page needs to be formatted in a certain way.

More specifically, your link must contain the "maitre_email" parameter, whose value is the email address of the person you want to sign up.

Optionally, you can add the "maitre_name" parameter to include the name of the subscriber and the "maitre_extra_field" parameter to include the value of the extra field.

For example, if your contest is on, you will need to send out links like  <Email address> where <Email address> is the email address of your invitee.

NOTE: It is mandatory that the link points to your contest page and that it contains the "maitre_email" parameter.

A real-life example

In real life, you are likely to send out invites to your contest through your favourite autoresponder or email platform, eg: MailChimp, ActiveCampaign, etc.

In this example, we will use MailChimp, but the theory is the same for virtually any email platform.

Let's imagine this scenario:

  • you have a list on MailChimp with 2,000 subscribers and you want to send them a link to sign up to your contest automatically, with no extra effort.
  • Your contest page is located at

You can send your list a newsletter with their unique sign-up link by using Mailchimp merge tags.
As you can see in the gif below, the link used is*|EMAIL|*. MailChimp will automatically replace the merge tag *|EMAIL|* with the email address of each recipient.

Every autoresponder on the market uses merge tags. If you are not sure how to use merge tags on your platform, get in touch with their customer support.
